Yes, it's gone limp. Maybe it's an age thing! 1935 Kestrel o/s trafficator is lifeless. Can lift it out manually (a tad inconvenient on roundabouts) then it just drops down. I presume I access this from the screw on trim inside the car between the doors. But what am I looking for? What should it be attached to? No good pulling it apart without having a clue what I'm looking for.
Any ideas please?

That's a brilliant response - thankyou. So I get the impression that it wont be a matter of hooking something back relatively simply? More a matter of dismantling and sending away by the sound of it.
Thanks for the contact.

Nov 11, 2015 at 9:28pm . These guys may be able to repair them for you... www.classic-spares-electrical.com/phdi/p1.nsf/supppages/bby?opendocument&part=3
Just to mention that I've spoken with Bernard from the above and he seems a really helpful guy. Will be removing the culprit and sending it to him for repair or replacement.
It's handy to know that the address quoted above is out of date and is now:
Bernard Bryant Morgan Jones & Company Ironmaster House 37 Wyle Cop Shrewsbury SY1 1XF
I'll update on the progress as we go along.

Update. Trafficator, duly sorted, returned today as promised. Bit of a fiddly job to refit when blessed with arthritic hands but job done, all working, happy bunny!
Thoroughly recommend Bernard for all things electrical.
