OK let me bore you with some progress. I bought some generic real rubber exhaust hangers that had the same hole size as and spacing as the distance tube OE parts. These are too thick so I 'machined' them down to the thickness to match the height of the spacer tubes, (same amount removed both side) and clearance for the backing plates. I did this 'precise' machining on my wood cutting table saw. This worked out pretty well and I am pleased with the result. I hope this experiment proves to be a long term solution. Salut Bruce

I was able to spend some quality time with the Riley and completed the installation of the exhaust sytem. Up front, I purchased the clamp, #GEX7072 as suggested by Nigel. For the strap I decided to make my own, I started with too long a strap, drilled a hole, and bent the angle to suit, then cut to length and drilled the other hole. A bit of High Temp paint and simply bolted it into place. Pretty awful photo but it is there. Now I have a solid join from pipe to bellhousing as should. At the rear, my bespoke hangers I fashioned worked out well. I hope not to need to get to here again for many more miles and years. Bruce
