Hello all! My very first car was a Mk III Elf - WNX 227H - back in 1976. Sadly it get squashed from behind by an articulated lorry when my dad was driving it. Yesterday I collected my new one!!! Its a restored shell and the rest of it is all in boxes - so I have the little job of putting it all back together and getting it on the road! Can't wait!

Congratulations on acquiring an Elf again. You have made a good decision in buying a restored body, as that is the most difficult aspect of a restoration. The club is a good place for advice and support and we look forward to seeing the car on the road when it is finished.

Steady progress! Body going off for paint in the next week or so and I have a very nice 1275 engine of the same vintage (1968) to pop back in. I've heard that Maniflow are excellent exhaust systems and would be grateful for any comments/advice please.
Regards, Bob
