"The Minor Million register is having a batch of wheel rimbellishers reproduced, which they believe should fit the 1.5 as well. The cost will be approximately £160 per set plus postage. If anyone is interested, please contact Phil Smith direct on 07790940909 or email Minormillion@mac.com "

I don't think that these were ever fitted as standard to the 1.5. The 4/72 had them. I would spend your £160 on something more useful, like 7-800 miles worth of petrol. Cheers, G

G, You're right - never fitted as standard - but were a dealer 'option'. I would prefer 800 miles of fun motoring rather than a bit of 'bling'! Noddy

Hmm, I'm not sure about that. I've never seen a standard Riley 1.5 without rimbellishers whereas you don't see them on Wolseley 1500s plus the vehicle diagrams of the two cars in the BMC Service Parts Lists show them on the Riley and not the Wolseley. In the parts lists you will see the rimbellishers listed as 5 per car (which includes the spare wheel presumably) which makes me feel that these were in fact standard items on the 1.5 and not dealer options as I don't think they would be listed in the official parts lists if they were optional?

Rob, You're right and I'm wrong! A quick look at the One-Point-Five sales brochure of 1959 and it states in bold, that "Rimbellishers are standard" Therefore I stand corrected. Roger
