Hi, can somebody provide any information about Zenith 36V12 carburettor for the pre war 2,5 liter engine? Jet sizes, level in the float chamber?

Newnes motor repair & overhaul data sheet from the early 50s says- 36VI2 choke tube 32. main jet 130, Comp jet 100, slow running jet 75, economy jet 150, , capacity tube 2, progression jet nil, needle setting 2.5(dont ask me!) starter- venturi 5, starting jet 140, control jet 120. Dilution plugs --. They also show 42VI2 as fitted same jets except compensating jet as 110. Dont forget that modern fuel is different to 1930s, and current thinking is suggesting that a richer tick over may be desirable to compensate for ethanol/higher volitility. I havnt looked but try looking up the zenith carburetter co. on the web for diagrams. you will need gasket pack 11 or 13 for the gaskets. I dont have a big4 so cant help any further.
