Due to the fact that I have just bought a Mk 3, my 1961 One Point Five Mk 2 is unexpectedly for sale as I cannot afford to keep both! It is in shiny Cumberland Green with green/grey leather seats which are in good condition with no rips or tears. MOT and Tax exempt. Recent service, new clutch, head gasket, brake overhaul with new cylinders etc. A healthy 60psi oil pressure from an engine which pulls smoothly with no oil leaks. Sound body with no rust underneath. Some bubbling of surface rust to off side rear door and boot. It has 72290 miles on the odometer and whereas there is no history with the car judging by its overall appearance and the way it drives I would imagine it is genuine but cannot be verified. Gearbox is good but syncho on 2nd gear is not good. I bought the car a short while ago with the fullest intention of keeping it but then out of the blue a Mk 3 came along (which is what I really wanted in the first place as I ideally wanted a car with seat belts) which I could not say no to! That is the only reason the Mk 2 is for sale. It is a good honest car, not concours, and with a little more TLC will make a lovely example. Asking price reflects condition of car. Car is located in Devon at my house and can be viewed from Friday onwards. £4000 ono Please e mail mike.menhenitt@btinternet.com for further information and pictures.
