For the past few years, the Archive which covers 95 years of Motor Club and Riley history, was stored at the home of Bob Hodgkins. This was because the previous keeper David Pipes had resigned from the Club and we had no where to put it. Very fortunately Bob came to the rescue and with the blessing of his wife it all ended up in his loft and the dining room. In late 2017 (I think) a group of us, Victor, Ade Smith, me and Paul Scholes of the Register went to Bob's house and managed to look at the most we could do in the relative short time we were there. This visit turned out to be the seed to the forming of the Riley Archive Project - RAP. Eventually in 2019 after a fund raising luncheon function and amazing work by Victor, there was enough funding to go ahead to rent premises and after e few journeys to and fro the RMC archive ended up in Unit 8 in the Coventry Canal Basin area of the city, with the long term plan to have as much of the Archive digitised as possible. Rileys Cars Heritage Trust which was responsible for the building of the replica of Percy Riley's voiturette and the Riley family's first ever four wheeled car, then amalgamated with RAP to form Riley Cars Archive Heritage Trust in the Autumn of 2020. This was agreed by the Trustees of both Charities with the aid of zoom meetings.
