Hi all, I'm tidying up a replacement front grill and being pedantic want to make sure I get the clips in correctly. The first picture shows the bottom and one of the side sets of clips. This is how I found'em so put them back the same way - bottom black tangs insert in the grill bars, on the side however the tang sits on the face of the bars.

Here is the top set of clips (still to clean up)... The first five and 7th to 11th insert as the bottom ones, but note the 6th from left (which is the central bar) and its clip are mounted differently. Is this deliberate, and a way to make the central bar more prominent, or has someone just pulled it apart and put it back together wrong?

Apologies to miss this request John, and I suspect you have since sorted this out? I suspect someone has been there before you? I would re fit it as the others, and this will support the grill bar properly. I can't imagine why one would promote the center bar ? Nice job by the way. I don't have the level of patience you do. Bravo! B

An update: the top row of screws were rustier than the lower row, consistent with getting less washing. Lots of soaking in PBlaster (I love that smell! ).
I think you are correct Bruce that someone else has got there before me. The most logical reason is that the way the clip is currently attached, the centre grill bar could be replaced without removing the shell and loosening all the other bars.
I'll put it back the same as the others...
