Hello from a Riley fan in Germany!
Please, could somebody tell me how I can tow away my Riley RMA 1.5?
I could not find a tow hook nor an towing eye. Does the Riley RMA 1.5 another possibility to tow it?
I say many thanks in advance.
Regards, Ernie

Hello Ernie. I thought I had posted a reply, but it seems to have got lost.
Unfortunately there is no dedicated towing eye/hook on the front of any RM. However, it is not too difficult to make one. If you look at the Workshop Manual, page R2, item No. 78, Botton Support-front extension bolts onto the front of the suspension cradle with four bolts. Now look at page K.6 item 44 is the suspension cradle, showing the four bolt holes.
If a right angled plate is made up which will bolt behind the bottom of the web of the front cradle, a horizontal forward facing plate can be fashioned as a towing eye.
I have built such a towing eye and fitted it to my RMC, and it works well. It does depend, of course, on quality welding, but mine has towed well and has been used several times for winching ont recovery trucks.
