What is this ?

Hi All,
New to the forum here, and need the help of the Riley Brains Trust !
I have very little knowledge of Rileys, and the variations between models, subtle or not.
This was my Grandad's car.
Could you help to identify which particular/specific model it is, and from when ?
Long shot I know, considering the picture quality, but I thought this would be the best place to ask.

Hi Matt,

It looks similar to the Riley Continentals here-

The radiator grille looks like the earlier model but I'm not sure about the wheels. The hubcaps on the wire wheels look like the later model.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable may be able to add more.

Yeah, I agree, there are some intriguing differences.
Well, over 150 views and it seems like you're the only one here that has any idea of what my Grandad's car could possibly be.
Those differences must make it difficult to identify.

It is a 12/4 Continental Touring Saloon. If the radiator grille is original a 1937 model. It may be that the car was Sprite specification but that is not details/information that these photos show.
