Can anyone tell me the correct position for the headlamp dip switch on a MkIII. I recently viewed a 1967 car and was surprised to see that the switch was floor mounted when I was expecting it to be on the indicator stalk - but I could be wrong! Thank you. Diz
To answer my own question; It would appear that the MKIII Elf was introduced in October 66 using the existing MKI/II floor mounted dip switch. It was not until October 67 that a new indicator stalk was introduced which moved the dip switch onto the new stalk. This coincides with the introduction of the MKII Mini which shared the same system.
So in fact, despite my concerns at the time, the car I was viewing back in May had the correct switch for the year - but unfortubnately there were plenty of other reasons I didn't go ahead.
