We don't use a servo when racing - but for road use it might make things a little less tiresome!

A servo won't improve the braking performance. If the disc pads swept area is greater that the drumlining surface then an improvement will be felt. Of course resistance to fading will be greatly improved.
My understanding is the servo will only assist with the amount of effort needed to move the cylinders, and ease the pedal pressure.

I had a Riley 1.5 fitted with disc brakes and a servo a couple of years ago and found the brakes became much too sharp for everyday road use and had to be careful in the application of the brakes which were prone to locking up much too easily.

HI THE CARS ONLY COMPLETED 100 MILES WITH THE DISC BRAKE CONVERSION, THE BRAKES ARE A LOT BETTER WHEN BRAKING AT SPEED,BUT THERE IS MORE PEDAL TRAVEL THE FITTING KIT INSTRUCTIONS RECOMMEND 200 MILES BEDDING IN,SO I THINK A FEW MORE MILES AND ANOTHER BLEED WILL HELP,MY RILEY HAS HAD A FULL REBUILD SO THE COMPLETE BRAKING SYSTEM IS NEW SO STANDARD 3/4 BORE MASTER CYLINDER USED, TIME WILL TELL IF THE STANDARD MASTER CYLINDER WILL WORK.
