I was looking at some MGA wheels and wondered if anyone has any experience of fitting them. I have seen cars with 13 inch wheels giving a little more rubber sidewall but the MGA wheels are 15 inch rather than the 14 of our cars. The think the above has the MGA wheels which I think look nice though maybe not for everyone. Anyone any knowledge.

Hello casper I have not looked into fitting 15" (MGA type) wheels but have looked into fitting the early 14" steel stamp MGB wheel that you show in your post. This car you show, (NA west coast car) has MGB front discs/hubs with a MGB rear end so wheel fit is 'plug n play'. Here is another view of that car. Like yourself I do like the look of this early MGB steel stamp wheel, and have a set ready to be fitted to George. The wheel is 4" wide so an improvement versus our 3" wide OE Riley wheel. As well the Riley hubcap and rimbellisher fit fine to this wheel. Result will be a subtle look that many may never notice. Caveat; The PCD of this MGB wheel is 4 x 4.5" or 4 x 114.3mm. The PCD of the Riley wheel is 4 x 4" so ............. adapters, (example below) with correct off set will be required. As well the Riley uses 3/8" diameter wheel studs whilst the MGB uses 1/2" diameter studs. I will turn up some bespoke spacer/adapters in order to fit these wheels to my car. Back to you Bruce

Hello, Where is the red car that is shown in the two photos? It was for sale on Bring a Trailer a while back and the background of the photos is Berkeley, California. I live nearby but could not track down the car.
Thank you,
John Gallagher Danville, CA, USA

I lost track of it after the BAT listings one of which did not meet the reserve value. Link to BAT listing below. bringatrailer.com/listing/1959-riley-one-point-five/Bruce
