hi all i'm new to the forum and i've just bought a riley falcon body shell to make a one off custom special but i'm looking for 4 doors and a boot ? but i've been told that it is quite rare so i think that it would be a great shame to use it if there's someone out there who needs one to restore this great looking car to it's former glory i believe the body shell is in great condition with a bit of rust but no rotten bits if there is someone out there looking for a shell make me an offer or if there's anybody who has 4 doors and a boot to sell contact me kind regards dave

Hello there.
I have no knowledge of the pre war cars at all, all I can say is that converting a classic of this nature into a one off special might be considered sacreligeous in some circles. I assume that the chassis has already gone down this route, and this is a real shame, there are few enough of any of these cars left in original format that each one 'specialised' is a loss.
My particular interest is RM's, but the same thing happens with them; restorable cars are broken or converted into something which fits into no category, and bits are scattered all over. A recently accident damaged RM was disposed of by an insurance company. Tha car had frontal damage which, in the opinion of many, was repairable, by someone who cared. The wreck has been 'dismantled' with the benefit of a gas axe, and another car, which was in very good order pre accident, has been lost, together with some parts which were quite unique. Vandalism.
