Has anyone managed to take the drop glass out of the bottom of the door as per the instructions of the workshop manual? if so I would be much obliged to know how they did it as I am not a gynecologist I can't seem to complete this task.

THE DROP GLASS COMES OUT THE TOP OF THE DOOR SEE WORKSHOP MANUAL,TAPE UP DOOR SHARP EDGES TO PROTECT DROP GLASS, YOUR GYNECOLOGIST SKILLS WILL HELP WHEN YOU REFIT THE GLASS WIPER PLATES.

As David writes out the top for sure. The glass didn't challenge me but I did struggle with the removal and reinstall of the window regulator. Collapsing the mechanism to exit through an ' poorly sized' aperture at the door bottom ?? Yikes. I think possessing proctologist skills would be an asset salut Bruce

Thanks for the tips chaps just shows that you think you have read something when you have not! I have already started to look at making or adapting a tool I already have to enable me to install those tricky trim clips and having slim fingers helps.

I FOUND THE BEST WAY TO FIT THE TRICKY CLIPS WAS WITH AN ADAPTOR TOOL, GREASE TO KEEP CLIP IN THE TOOL AND A DENTISTS MIRROR FROM EBAY,I ALSO USED A SMALL AMOUNT OF TIGER SEAL TO POSITION THE WIPER PLATE TO THE DOOR,THE JOB WAS STILL A BITCH LOST COUNT THE NUMBER OF TIMES I HAD TO RETRIVE THE CLIPS FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR.

Thanks David I will let everyone know once I have completed the task but I think it will be a "patience is a virtue" job no doubt.

I have completed the the installation now and the clips were less hassle than I thought but fabricating the drop glass runners was a bit of a chore.
Thanks for the tips chaps.
