I've listed one of my Rileys on Ebay as a project car in case anyone is interested -https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1962-Riley-One-Point-Five-project-car-for-sale/283858069697?hash=item42174268c1:g:sXMAAOSwxZteozSw. Would add some photos here but once again not possible due to the size restrictions!

Rob, That looks a pretty nice project car for sure, someone will make a nice runner out of this car. Wrong side of the pond for me. Bruce

Missed out on that one obviously! Shame really as it seemed perfect for what I was looking for...... Are there any more projects 'out there' that would like to find a new home?

these 'original' cars keep showing up for sale, Bravo! That eBay listed car appears to be a good candidate to bring back to the road, looks to be quite unmolested and has the V5. FWIW this car is known to the club registrar, Bruce

Many thanks for the 'tip' but this one has gone also. Seems like they don't hang around for too long. Got work to do other wheels in the fold to be watching e-bay 24 hours a day! Frustrating without a doubt!

It's literally only gone in the last hour or so and I flagged it a couple of day ago. You should save it as a search if you're serious, that way you won't miss them and don't have to watch Ebay all the time. Good luck. Rob

I believe there used to be an option for setting an alert when new items were listed on e-bay - bu**ered if I can find it now on their (state of the art) website!!
Does anyone know if the option still exists? They (e-bay) now seem to employ 'idiot geeks' (it's only MY opinion) to update (& improve??) the website for no apparent reason. Whether buying or selling - life on e-bay in my humble opinion is becoming more & more incredibly annoying & frustrating........ Anyway, rant over - if I can find one, a 1.5 that is, without their contribution........ I'll drink to that! Cheers.

It's quite easy really - search for Riley 1.5 in classic cars, click the tab that say list results by 'newly listed' and then click on 'Save this search' which is displayed with a little blue heart symbol right next to the number of search results returned. Job done and you'll get daily updates of any new cars automatically!

Many thanks for info. It is something I'd done before, but subsequently failed to find the option.

Spotted it thanks. Does seem a bit weird that it's available again. Wonder what happened first time???

I would imagine that if it was purchased the first time around the purchaser either did not pay or turned up and tried to bargain the price down when coming to collect and was sent away "with a flea in his ear" I speak from experience of the latter which is most annoying.

Attention "Rileyrob" - many thanks for the tip-off on this motor. The e-bay saga is probably best forgotten, but having put down a deposit, I expect to (be allowed) to collect soon, subject to travel restrictions being relaxed. I believe it was described as "China" blue, but also seen reference made (somewhere) to 'Florentine Blue" I'd to clarify the confusion. There is a 1.5 for sale, on a popular website, rather expensive, '65 model, Reg no. beginning FAB - would it be possible to confirm the colour of this particular car, and also the colour of the roof, I quite like that combination. Thanks in anticipation for any info on this subject, or indeed, from anyone else reading this.
