Hello! I'm a French enthusiast of Rileys.
I've read, in the last issue of the french magazine "l'aventure automobile" about the post-war Rileys, that one convertible RM 2 1/2 litre was built by the Australian coachbuilder Head Bros, in 1950 for a Mr. Robert Hood, who designed it himself. Who knows this car?

Hello there. My name is Roger, I hate the pseudonyms we are landed with.
I cannot find any reference to this car in any of the books which I have. Would it be possible to send me a copy of the magazine? My partner is French and will be able to translate for me. If I can find out anything about the car, I will let you know.
You can contact me by e-mail; rogeholman@gmail.com and I will send you my address.
Take care.
Roger.

I gather that you have bben in touch with the Riley RM Club, from whom I believe you have some answers. I too contacted the RM Club, as I am a memeber. I hope the answers were what you wanted.
I would still very much like to have a copy of the magazine.
Take care.
Roger

Hello Blake. Sorry I have not answered your message before, very impolite of me. I have just looked at the link, and whilst I am perfectly happy to pay for a copy of the magazine, I am a little reluctant to give my date of birth,(Why?) gender, (What difference does it make? although I see there is proision for those who don't know) just to buy a copy of the magazine.
My partner is French, I will try and see if her sister can get a copy and send it, although it will probably cost me dear!
Thanks for the information anyway.
Roger

Hello Blake. I have just recieved a copy of the aforementioned magazine; my partner ordered it for me from France, without divulging my age, NOK details and sexual proclivities, so, a result. The unfortunate fact, however is that there is very little reference to the car in question, simply a statement that it was built by a company, on an RMB chassis, to the design of the owner/commissioner. I shall obviously have to dig deeper.
