Looks like I'm going for a 1961 1-5. Thing is, I'm trying to find out about seats covers. Were they always leather or were some vinyl? Appreciate the advice on this one.

Seat facings were always leather on the Riley but not always on the Wolseley. The side and backs were in a matching vinyl or whatever the material was called back in the '60s.

Thanks - I was convinced they looked leather on the one I'm going to see but the dealer was unsure if they were vinyl or leather.

Thanks - I was convinced they looked leather on the one I'm going to see but the dealer was unsure if they were vinyl or leather. Welcome and great news about you getting a one-point-five. Smiles per miles is hard to beat. Look about the web for the pattern of the seat facings. Usually if re done in vinyl the pattern may not be as original. This should be a good indicator of the material type. salut Bruce
