Am I correct in assuming that it is impossible to fit front inertia reel seat belts to a Mk 1 without major bodywork surgery?

There is a company called Quick Fit Seat belts based just outside London that specialises in this sort of thing. I managed to find a set of 1960's universal seat belts on Ebay that allowed all the fittings to be made to the floor rather than to the B Post which is where most of the problems lie when fitting seat belts. I have pictures but I have never been able to add any to a post on this site to this day so if you send me a private email I can send the pictures directly to you and I may have found the phone number for Quick Fit too by then. Hope this information is of some help?

Thank you for your help on this. It was in relation to a Mk 1 that has come up for sale on e bay, but after investigation I have decided not to pursue it and instead wait for a good Mk 3 to come up, which it surely will, eventually! If you know of a good one please let me know, Thank you again, mike
