ops it seems pic was too large To explain the type of the conversion has long wheel bolts which have their heads at the back of the disc , they come right through the hub . When the wheel is bolted up then the disc tightens up .The hub and the calliper are mowog parts . I suspected it was a Morris Marina conversion but not so sure now . I need to source the correct wheel bearings .

I believe you are right in that could be Morris Marina parts. There's quite a few Morris Minors with disc break conversion and work on this is done by Charles Ware Morris Minor Centre here in Bristol. I'm sure other Morris Minorspecialists do it as well. It might be a good idea to contact them include any pictures you have and see if they can come up with the answers you're looking for along with the parts. Here's their website Charles Ware Morris Minor Centre

I understand that a midget/sprite disk set up might fit our cars as well. Our racer has a Ford Sierra set up - but how it was done I dont know!

I need to source the correct wheel bearings . where did you buy the conversion ? supplier should be able to identify the kit.. It's likely you have MG midget /sprite parts .. marina hubs were made under BL (which superseded BMC) and hence the MOWOG id no longer applied..parts were sold under the 'unipart' brand when marina was introduction. you can get a kit to convert sprite/midget front wheel bearings to taper rollers from Moss motors ... these are far easier to set up than the stock ball races that come with the and the stock MOWOG hubs.., which have to be shimmed for correct lash. neither the sprite based kit sold in USA or the marina based kit sold out of UK have wheel bolts that go rights through the hub to secure the rotor.. with has separate bolts for rotor and wheel studs secured by interferance fit and serrations .. pressed in from back side of hub. The 'Mr grumpy' marina based conversion can be obtained from ESM in Uk (they ship everywhere) this kit contains EVERYTHING including all hard ware and taper roller wheel bearings.. its also has a shield on the back to shield the rotor from road hazards, therefore prolonging life of pads and rotors. it also has far larger rotors the those used on the sprite/Midget ..and the bracket to secure the calipers utilizes all 4 bolts (sprite/midget based kit has wierd 'hocky stick' shaped bracket and just 3 x 5/16" dia bolts to hold it to the upright) the marina based kit uses an identical bracket to the one used by BL .. in fact ALL parts are as used on stock marina except hubs are adapted for the 4" bolt pattern for morris minor/morris major/riley 1.5/austin lancer/wolseley 1500 (marina had 3 3/4" bolt pattern ) I hope this helps..
