I now have a 1964 Riley 1.5. but I used to have a Morris Minor which had a useful and ( I considered ) visually appealing embellishment - an external metal sun visor over the windscreen. May I please tap into the bank of knowledge held by all you Riley 1.5 experts and ask the questions: Was there ever available such a metal visor as an option for the Riley 1.5 or Wolseley 1500, Would a Morris Minor visor fit my Riley 1.5 ( faint hope ) and finally does anyone know of a source for a visor that would fit my Riley 1.5? Many thanks.

Smith & Deakin list a fibreglass sun visor for the Riley at £82.50 if that's of any interest? Rob Attachments:

Thanks Rileyrob. If they still sell them then you have provided me with a perfect solution. However, I checked their website price list and I couldn't see those visors listed. The website states that they are open this morning ( Saturday ) but they didn't answer the phone. I'll try them on Monday.

Smith & Deakin are pretty much a one man band these days I believe but have been producing fibreglass panels for over 40 years at least. I think their opening hours are limited so keep trying and good luck.

OK Rileyrob. I found it in the price list. Stupidly, I had expected the price list to be in alphabetical order - but I found Wolseley / Riley sandwiched between Princess and BMW! I spoke to the chap and I think that you are right when you say that he is a one man band. He only answers the phone weekdays 8-2 now, although the website says differently. He has the mould and can make one and prices are still the same as at November 2017, with postage at £20. The problem is that the firm that made the fittings for him went out of business four years ago and all the patterns and moulds were lost. I would therefore have to find someone to make the fittings, and supply them with or show them some fittings to copy. I'll work at it. Many thanks.
