RMC Regalia/Merchandise

Jan Pipes who has been our Merchandise Manager for the last seven years or so and now wishes to stand down as she has to look after her elderly parents. So thank you Jan for all the time and good work you have put in to the successful running of the job.

Therefore we do need to find some one or two people to take it over. it is not a time consuming task, but if say a member and family member run it together, then the workload is halved. I did the job  for four years, and I found it not onerous and it is also interesting in that you email people/ phone them, they phone you, they email you and some of them who are interested in buying an item or items, are from overseas members. Ordering new stuff will not be a slog as Jan will have all the necessary suppliers listed. Ah, you say, won't the merchandise take up an awful lot of space? Surprisingly enough no. Just part of a small room should suffice. AS far as taking money in, payments are all upfront, so the chore of chasing money not a problem.

Re the the Club looking for a Regalia Manager. I see 93 people so far have read the appeal above , but absolutely no response or anyone interested. Surely someone and his/her wife/husband or partner will come forward? it is not a time consuming job, I know because I did it for a couple of years, but had to let it go because I was given another job to do, ( which in fact was a lot more time consuming!) And it is interesting as you because you come in contact, make contact with members from all over the world as well as the UK. Further more selling club regalia/merchandise does help towards to buoy the Club's finances and the they need all the money they can get!.

So come on someone, please have a think about it and give Jan Pipes or me Tim Booth a ring - contact details are on the inside page of any Riley Record. Thanks.

Good news! The Club now has anew Regalia Manager - well Managers actually as Harris and Carol Khairuddin together are taking over from Jan Pipes. Jan has done the job for nearly ten years, but because after her mother died earlier this year she spends most of her time looking after her father, as he needs constant care. So thank you Jan for the time and effort you have spent over these ten years as Regalia Manager.
