Does anyone have experience of re-riveting the front side grille slats after refurbishment ?
I haven't taken mine to pieces yet, but see this is quite easy with a long pointed drill to remove the original rivets. I want to repaint the backing plate and of course need to take the blessed things apart to do that.
I have tried 4 different rivet guns and all of the nozzles are too large for the grill and would damage the slats if I try to use them. My friend ( who did the job about 10 years ago) can't remember how he did it. He suggested replacing the slats from the top down but I have tried my guns that way and no, it doesn't work.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
By the way, I have tried to download a photo of the car as a logo for my entries but can't find a way of reducing the photo to the size needed - again does anyone have any thoughts ( I have a Macbook air)??

Ditto Tom, with the photo I mean. It's called an avatar I believe, but like yourself was unable to reduce the photo size. Maybe it's just something about Macbook's???
