that made me smile bloke considering buying it back, from a personal level, ive always told folk they are a vastly underrated motor & an ideal entry into the old car world (easy to maintain) & not as common as a minor 1000 or mgbs that seem to clog up the car show fields of the uk,

The asking price is just that, 'asking'. I suspect anyone that knows these little rockets will spot the missing wing & door spears. I also find it odd that a MK II/III dash appears in a MK I car? As well there is a mismatch of MK I with a MK III grille eyebrow parts. Raises a couple of doubts to the rest of the car maybe? Interest? in a recent copy of Practical Classic magazine Russ Smiths pines after a one-point-five that looks just as good for fair bit less? I guess the value/price is what someone is willing to pay out. B

looks clean underneath as well, obviously well kept heated garage, i do like them on the minator minor alloys, remember doing mine round 1997ish was cheaper to buy set of 5 complete wheel tyres combo than 5 narrow tyres for original wheels ! i realise not everyones taste but thats life,

Can someone please explain to me the difference between Mk I and II/III dash. The difference is that MK II & III cars chose internal bonnet hinges versus the endearing MK I external bonnet hinges. Consequence being the glove box and its door became narrower as the internal hinges mechanism physical dimensions took up real estate in that area of the fascia. Perhaps some of you blighters can confirm? that the MK III dash was also a lighter colour finish? B

its very nuanced the difference & yes the earlier dashboards are darker (different veneer possible) in my view if its got a riley badge on i can appreciate it but not at north of £12k !!! i do draw a line somewhere
