I am still digging through the loft and found a box of bits that are a bit less than concours.. The carbs and plenum are very dirty - are these just junk in this state? I don't know what's going on with the rocker cover. Were chrome rocker covers ever a thing for a 1.5 ? Simon

the chrome valve cover is likely from the 1970s when this was a popular way of customising the engine to enhance appearence..

Burlen Fuel Systems have acquired the rights to SU carbs so, assuming they are SUs, rebuild kits are readily available for most models.
Unless the castings are damaged beyond repair they will likely be useful to someone with the time/skill to rebuild them.
Kind regards
Hallam

Hello Simon, If you were closer geographically I would be by in a wink to gather the carbs & plenum. Of course we could share a cuppa at the same time. I suggest you list them on eBay? many want size 4 carburetters even if Riley specific, these will apply to other vehicles. That rocker box is 'special' so maybe a freebee along with the carburetters? If all else fails donate them to the Riley club spare parts? Keep well Bruce
