If any of you look at the channel TPTv encore they are running an episode of Dial 999 called Extradition, this film was made in 1958 and features OMO263 in quite a lot of scenes. I know that BMC had a habit of moving number plates around their fleet as and when vehicles were moved on to the trade etc. I believe this vehicle is a very early car and may be of some interest, it's a shame it is not in colour. Have a look and comment. NP

the reg isnt on the DVLA data base, this early footage & use of the car as promotion for it means the car could be one of the handful of pre production cars that were built, 1956/1957 ish, if it is one of those they were known for the whole front end being made of fibre glass as bmc were still debating whether to proceed with production & was cheaper to mould the front end before committing to steal,

The club registrar has listed these OMO### cars with history, with Leaf Green being the colour of choice. 1957 was a very long time ago .............................................. I believe GRP front end car you refer to is what is known as the White car? Bruce

My father bought this car from the factory after its use as press car had finished, late 50s, my father was foreman in the show shop at MG Abingdon OMO263..I remember the car from when I was a kid,I think it was an Abingdon built car..and green with a cream top when we had it..but I have recently seen a black and white picture of a car with that number, in one solid colour?. Thank you, Andy Mansell
