I am looking for some information and history relating to some Riley Motor Club plaques that have been entered into our 7th July 2016 auction.
The first appears to be silver plated, is dated 1935 with the Kings crown, has enamelle4d Welsh dragon on it with 'V RILEY XXIV'. With winged goddess holding a wreath and ribbon with 'Riley Motor Club' on it, and also a Riley saloon.
Next is a Riley Motor Club badge, with a lion on top, silver plate and part enamel, with a map of the British isles marked with several points. Underneath marked 'III RILEY XXIV'. Stamped Birmingham Medal Co on reverse.
Also Silver plated 'The Fifth Winter Trial Poole 1935' plaque, with Riley Motor Club enamel badge.
Silver plated plaque depicting winged goddess with wreath saying 'Sixth' and 'Riley XXIV' with '3rd Class Award' and Riley Motor Club enamel badge.
Silver plated plaque 'Spring Trial 1936 Buxton' and Riley Motor Club enamel badge (green and white enamel).
Finally two Riley Motor Club circular plaques, both Stamped Birmingham Medal Co on reverse. One marked 'II Cotswold Six' the other 'III Cotswold Six'.
Any help would be very much appreciated. I can be contacted directly via email at info@hvauctions.com or mobile 0791 079 0791 or via this excellent forum.
Many thanks Peter
