Hello all,
Welcome to the Riley Motor Club Forum.
If you own a Riley or are just interested in Rileys then come on in, register and access the car specific boards.
Centre area boards of this forum are only open to members of the Riley Motor Club. If you are member then please register and message me with your full name and address and membership number and I shall grant you full access to the forum.
The forum is an added extra of being a member and not a part of any membership package. This being the case no rights or agreements are being entered into and no level of service is guaranteed. This forum is run and moderated by volunteers and no negativity, bullying or posturing will be tolerated and such posts will be deleted.
The original forum, which I'm told has been running for at least 10 years, this week mysteriously went offline - We are investigating and hope to restore it's contents. Will keep you all posted. This new Forum is the property of the Riley Motor Club.
We can only look to the future and rebuild what has been lost.
Membership of the Riley Motor Club gains you 6 copies of the Riley Record over the year as well as access to Club events, News, Spares and of course a wealth of knowledge from it's members. Over the last 6 years I have throughly enjoyed many Riley meetings.
So do please become a Club member, take part in a positive way at Club events and meetings and bring your giftings to enrich the Club for generations to come!
Thanks Harris

Harris,
Just a polite enquiry to find out if there has been any response from the Committee(after their recent meeting) regarding a number of concerns that have been raised about the old and new forums?
Regards,
Roger

Hi Roger, The original forum hosting company has totally disappeared. Here is the link to the original forum - if it comes online then let us know. rileymotorclub.createforumhosting.com/As it was a free forum and not hosted by us so we don't have any re-dress. This was not our decision so no explanation required here. We have decided to provide access to all (members and non-members) to the majority of the forum (there are member-only areas though). I hope that we can now move forward and get using the Forum. Thanks

People can get a feel for the place and be part of the community before making financial decisions. Also makes sense keeping some info in paid members only. I'll catch up on things tonight and rescue my application from the shredding pile !

I am a new member, but whilst the new forum will have to suffice, it is a great shame that all the historic knowledge given by members over the years has been lost for ever?? when I have a queries, I look at the forum, but not now cos it aint there!!, is this any thing to do with riley blue retiring?

Hi Polly, Welcome to the new forum! I totally agree but am sure the peeps on here can answer your questions. The company that ran the old forum and ALL their forums went pop - I assume bust - so not malicious no.

Hello All,
I'd like to thank you for allowing us 'outsiders' access to the new Riley forum!
My name is Guy - I live in East Northants and I'm just starting out on the journey to research and buy a pre-war Riley - hence my joining the new forum! :-)
I'm an experienced WW2 Jeep enthusiast/restorer currently owning three - two Willys MB's and a Ford GPW, along with a various other classic's...I've also experienced pre-war Riley's before - my father has owned various make's & models in his car-collecting past...and I grew up around them all!
No doubt you'll get fed-up with me asking questions and for advice...but if I can help anyone with anything, please feel free to get in-touch!
Guy. :-)
