This might not mean much to some of the newer members of this forum but Roger (Noddy) and Bruce (Canuck) will know this car. Belongs to Doug (Motorwaydrifter) who was once a major contributor to the old forum and who came up with workable solutions to any problems we had time after time after time. He's sorely missed. Doug's 1.5

Graham, WOW!! A flash from the past. Doug called that old girl the 'green goddess', and only he can explain, and it would be a colourful explanation no doubt. Like yourself I do miss his presence here and you are absolutely correct he had solutions to any problem, even some that didn't even exist. His sense of humour was very often a strong and welcome attribute to his forum posts. B

Bruce, I keep in touch with Doug very occasionally via the interwebnet so hopefully I'll find pit where GG goes to.

Graham, Sad to read he doesn't have the time to resurrect the GG. He enjoyed driving her very much, and a MK1 to boot! I remember one occasion where he found the GG parked in a lane in a satellite image posted on the web, always something interesting posted from Doug on the old forum, sadly all lost!
Upon your next contact please pass on my regards to Doug.

GG was sold today........and will be used as a donor car to get the second oldest 1.5 known to still be in existance up and running again. So one gone forever but a bit of history saved. This second oldest 1.5 was referred to in another post to this forum.

Although the old girl was looking rather forlorn in the eBay advert I still weep for her. I do think however that Doug is good with this arrangement, he loved the Riley marque.
