Nuffield Riley and MG being delivered by Morris transporter to the Earl's Court Motor Show, September 1949. Interestingly this is the first hydraulic transporter in Britain, built to deliver cars to the docks.

A fascinating photo. The cars must have been quite a contrast to the drab surroundings of post-war Britain. I see the export drive was still the priority with at least one of the cars being left hand drive. Also good to see the cars without the additional rear lights, which I think were introduced by law in the mid-fifties. Rob
