I am about to order a clutch kit for Biggles - I'm ordering BS103 Cluch Kit - 10 Spline (1.5 Kk. 1 & 2)
there's no chance of this being wrong is there??

It depends on chassis number, if you search under (one point five gearbox's) in this forum you will find the info you require I believe Mk3's had the 23 spline centre plate but any gearbox could have been swapped so long as the relevant mountings and clutch were changed too.Hope this helps NP

The 'critical fit' component of the clutch assembly is/will be the driven plate. The cover plate is the same throughout the model years, and fits the standard flywheel using 2 locating dowels.
'Biggles' is a MK1 car so yes the 10 spline is the correct driven plate for her, with caveat that Robert eluded to.
I know you don't want to read this but .........................
while you are in there make sure the ring gear is in 'excellent' order. A good time to change if worn along with the pinion on the starter motor, ring gear you need help, pinion a before breakfast job. If you are enthusiastic, you might want to have the firm that is installing the new ring gear to lighten the flywheel. Before,
After,
This is a 'nice to have' but any removal of rotational mass is a good thing. Oh this is also known as 'scope creep'.
Happy 2017!

Thanks Bruce - fairly sure I'm not going to lighten the flywheel in the process, but I will get Richard to check for wear.

The Club currently has 10 spline and 23 spline 3 piece clutches in stock. Also, starter rings, spigot bush, engine and gearbox mountings, should you need any. Cheers, Bob.

Thanks Bruce - fairly sure I'm not going to lighten the flywheel in the process, but I will get Richard to check for wear. No worries, spending some one else's money is a sport for me.
This 'adding lightness' is not so difficult an operation nor particularly expensive for a machine shop with a whopping big lathe to undertake. Here is the drawing if you get the inspiration.

I just had my fly wheel faced and a new Moss Motors ring gear installed as part of my One Point Five restoration.
