Hello Mine is also a series 1 and I had inertia belts fitted to the front and statics at the back by this company - www.quickfitsbs.com/They were extremely good and you couldn't work out how they'd done it afterwards but it was far from cheap. Simon

How much was it Simon, if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking of having rear belts fitted, already got front ones (1965 car). John.

Mabel had rear belts fitted when I bought her. After "that accident" in 2014 my wife paid for front belts to be fitted. I had them fitted by the Charles Ware Morris Minor Centre in Bristol. Main treason is that they're about 10 minutes from our house. I'll dig the receipt out and find out how much they cost. I'll also visit Mabel tomorrow (probably) and take photos of the fitting points. They made an excellent job of the fitting.

Don't mind you asking at all, but I can't really remember - have a feeling it was about £750 for front and back but the results were amazing. They had the car for a day whilst I had a day out in London. Simon

Well it seems plenty of people have had them done just still can’t work out how to secure the bolt into the B pillar as there is no access to the other side to hold and tighten the nut

I seem to remember that mine was done by fitting a female threaded 'bolt' through the B pillar from outside to butt up against an undersized hole on the inside. Seat belt mounting 'male' bolt then screws into the female from the inside locking the lot in place. Does this make sense? Twas a long time ago! Cheers, Grom

According to the factory published Workshop Manual these seat belt can be fitted. There is a quite complete procedure explained in the manual. However for an earlier car, (pre #56701) I think one will need to look at a series 3 car to determine the fixing points, at B pillar, tunnel & sill areas.
Have fun

Mine was not done from the outside at all. They lowered a plate and then caught it and riveted this in place internally as far as I remember.
