I imagine that the majority of folks keep their beloved car in a garage. But I am haunted by dust. I can spend a couple of days making the car look pretty good and then it's dusty by the next day. I've looked at various covers but I'm concerned about sweating and scratching.
Anyone got any experience they could share to help me with this?

Nobby.. one thing to be careful of regarding choosing car cover is that it is imperative you purchases one that can 'breathe'. car covers can, and often do, cause far more damage than they prevent.. Ive dealt with this issue many times over the years.. cars currently held :- a one previous owner '65 AH sprite with 75 k original miles .. taken off the road in '76 following a bad oil filter change..and engine removed and stripped at that time.. after a couple of decades out in the California sun and the occasional winter downpour..under the cover the car suffered greatly.. paint on the flat surfaces had to be stripped back to bare metal as the paint had micro blistered all over and metal was rusting under the paint... latest acquisition ( a '65 Daimler V8 2 1/2 liar saloon) was left under a non breathing car cover in the damp Washington climate for what the previous owner stated was just 2 years.. essentially it destroyed the paint work with microbilsters all over.. interior wood veneer peeled off all over.. mould in carpets.. brakes all stuck and wire wheels rusted firmly on to thier splines ( took over 4 hours will every trick I know to get the first one off.) b y far the best outside storage is a simple cover that will protect the car form suns rays ( such as a portable car port) and keep most pf the rain off it.. garages can also cause problems for cars that are used and put away wet.. or just a damp garage ..simple condensation cn cause all manner of issues.. the car needs to be in a place where air car move freely around it.. never 'sealed' especially in damper climates.. although I have no experience of them proprietary 'car cocoons' can works white well ..these have a constant moving air supply to ensure that dampens and humidity does not cause problems.. goood luck.
