I asked about this quite awhile ago and for one reason or another I cannot locate the thread, hence this on. So; My query is the electrical schematic in our Riley workshop manual. It does not reflect 'as built' in the car. (below) I think this odd, even for BMC. In a recent discussion with a fellow enthusiast, (in Australia) and reference to a Wolseley 1500, (sorry) workshop manual it became apparent that the electrical schematic to match the Riley 'as built' appears in the Wolseley tech pub. With the biggest difference, (to me at least) being the Brown wire feed from the battery. (Ignore that funky grille lamp thingy on the W car ) In the Riley schematic this Brown wire originates at the starter solenoid and then to the top fuse post before going to A post on regulator. In the 'other schematic' (Wolseley tech pub) this Brown wire originates at the battery post and goes directly to the A post of the regulator. Perfectly reflecting the 'as built' in my garage. I thought is interesting and important to share with other Riley one-point-five owners tackling electrical gremlins. However, did I get this wrong? Thoughts please? Bruce
