I spotted this car that has just been taken to a classic car breaker's yard in Cornwall (Summercourt classic car breakers, ring Jim on 01726 861171) in case anyone fancies parts from it, shame but apparently it's too far gone to save.

That is one very sad looking one-point-five! Roger, maybe add this to the register ? as a soldier lost doing duty. B

Yep, Another one for the 'gone but not forgotten' section Isn't it sad that this still continues to happen? I guess its a symptom of high restoration costs and low residual value. Roger

Here's another one for you Roger - currently sat in a garden. Underneath is 'like a tea bag' according to the owner who is trying to sell it for its number plate despite it not having been on the road for many years so I don't think that will be possible with the DVLA restrictions.

I am far from any of these cars, but;
I should think that club spares could/would benefit from some of these 'donors' no? The MK 1 bonnet & boot hinges come to mind, as well as headlamp bezels?
Rob, how does one contact that MK 1 car owner?

Hi Bruce, the car is now at the breaker's yard in Cornwall which is a long way from many of us too and the phone number is in the original post.

Hi Rob, Thanks for the pictures of the second one - I'll pop it in the register too. My understanding is that you cannot transfer the number off a car unless it has an MOT - although looking at the govt website, it is not totally clear. However the car must move under its own power! Roger
