In the last days i bought an 1958 BMC Riley Two point Six Automatic LHD and what i know from the history of the car is that it was till 1993 in Switzerland and came than to Germany. Now it need some restauration but is not to bad, i have the original repair handbook but now i have some questions i know that the 2.6 has get uprated brake to the Pathfinder an the drums are 11 and 11.5 ft big and they are from Lockheed but i did‘t find out which other cars have these brakes or were i can get parts for it. or there i can get bushes for the wishbones or else. I am happy for any information about the Riley . My other classic cars are : MG Midget MK3 69 since 1998 Morris Minor 1000 Convertible 63 since 2019 two MG F 97 since 2017 and 2020 Greetings from Duisburg Stefan Attachments:

Hi Stefan, My name is Bernie Peal, and I am the Technical Adviser and Registrar for the Riley 2.6 in the Riley Motor Club. Very glad to hear from you and welcome to the Club! I have some information about your car and would be very happy to assist you in any way that I can. Perhaps you would like to contact me by email - my details are in the Riley Record magazine that you will have received as a new club member. We can discuss any technical issues on email.
You may be interested to know that your car is not in its original colour. It was built as a two-tone blue model and completed on the Cowley assembly line (near Oxford) on July 21 1958. It was exported from the UK to Switzerland in late July or early August 1958. At some point it was moved to Germany. We believe it was owned at one time by Herr Burkhardt Frank in Steinhagen.
I would be very interested to know more about the car and you may have some information which I can use to complete my records for this car. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Stefan,
I see you mention you “joined at the Register”? Just to be clear, we are the Riley Motor Club (RMC) not the Riley Register (RR). The Riley Register is a Club for pre-war cars only and does not cater for 1950’s cars.
Unfortunately, I do not put my email address on the Forum because it is not secure and you can become a target for Spam emails!
You can find my details on the Riley Motor Club website: rileymotorclub.org
Go to the Contact Us tab and send a message which will be sent on to me.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Bernie
