Sorry for those that might have seen this already on Facebook. I would like to fit twin fuel tanks to the 1.5 which the original rally cars had back in the day. I am aware of some people that have already done this and I am sure i saw a post either on here or Facebook where someone explained how it was done but I cant find it for the life of me. I know they had a separate filler on the opposite side of side to match the factory one and I think they had an MG Magnette fuel tank mounted behind the rear seat on the 'shelf' over the diff. im wondering how the fuel supply and fuel gauge was managed. If they were switched electrically from within the car or a manual switch in the boot etc., did they have a separate pump and gauge or were they shared in some way. Any advice some someone who knows would be nice. Thanks in advance

I don't use Facebook, just this forum. Our club one-point-five registrar built a works rally replica car some years ago. He paid particular attention to detail. A brilliant result! Here is a some detail of the reserve fuel tank that he posted on this forum; link below rileymotorclub.proboards.com/thread/227/auxiliary-fuel-tankSalut Bruce

That’s a big help many thanks. I have the second fuel filler and pipe, don’t have a tank yet but I have seen some aftermarket aluminium ones that would work ( I’m not strict about the factor reproduction) and I just need the tap for the change over if anyone knows what that is of or where it comes from
